Makeup Routine

As I said in my last post, I have been on my routine grind lately. Which has included perfecting my Sabrina Carpenter inspired makeup routine. It has been finely tunes because.... my obsession with her as gone off the rails. Which speaking of her new album "Short 'N Sweet" just came out and I would love to do a blog post analyzing and ranking the songs, so DM me on insta if that is something you would be interested in.

Step 1: Magic Spell Potion 5 Makeup Primer Jason Wu Beauty

The key to a good glow makeup routine is a good primer. I love this one from Jason Wu Beauty, it leaves your skin so hydrated and plump. And it isn't one of those primers that leaves your skin super heavy and sticky and there is no pilling with your makeup on top of that. And it's pink. So that is always a plus.

Step 3: Elf Hydrating Camo Concealer

I used to be a ride or die for the matte version of this but I realized how crusty and gross my underages looked after 5 minutes in any type of heat and decided it was time for a switch (lol). I much prefer this version because again. The glow.

Step 4: Tarte Sculpt Tape Contour

This is a recent addition to the routine, I actually got this in PR but I am fully obsessed. I have tried a few different variations of the dough foot contour wands but this one blends so much better than any others. I blend/use brushes for pretty much every step of my routine, I have a thing with sponges because they get so gross. So I blend this out with a fluffy angled brush.

Step 5: Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder in Cherry Blossom

I have been using this powder for YEARS, and I heard they are reformulating it so... I'm freaking out. I haven't bought a new one recently so I'm not sure how different they will really be but I will def keep you updated on if it sucks now. But I love to use a pink powder under my eyes because 1. I'm a blush fiend so this makes it seem like you have blush everywhere and 2. it is super brightening and I have yellow undertones so a banana powder just does not work for me and translucent powder is... boring so. Pink it is.

Step 6: NYX Buttermilk Blush in "My Butter Half"

Again, a new holy grail for me. I picked this up one day because I mean the color, come on. And it did not disappoint. It is such a creamy powder blush. It applies so evenly but beware of the pigment because it will hit you out of nowhere.

Step 7: Tartelette XL Tubing Mascara

This mascara has changed the game for me. It leaves my lashes so flawlessly separated and natural looking but still super lifted, it is incredible. And, since it is a tubing mascara, it is so easy to take off at night when I start my skincare, it doesn't leave my eyes feeling irritated at all.

Step 8: Sleek MakeUp Highlighting Pallete

The best, brightest highlighter I have ever used in my life. I use the pinky shade up at the top right. Step 9: Taste Shape Tape Stay Spray Setting Spray

I only just recently started using setting spray so if we are being honest I am not 100% sure this is the best one out there. My face used to be able to go all day and all night with a full face and not crease and it just...doesn't anymore. So, I figured using a setting spray would help and it defiantly has, so this one does the job for sure.

My final boss is the ultimate Sabrina lip combo, the only thing is I do my liner a tad bit lighter than hers because dark lips just don't suit me. But we all know her and love her. The Maracuja Juicy Lip.
