The Winter Uniform
This is going to be a bit of a shorter post today, I have recently been inspired by some posts I've seen about people sharing their "winter uniforms". I know for us down south we are experiencing weather we are absolutely not used to so the bundle is real. So, having a go to everyday outfit to stay warm and be comfy is key. Here is my "winter uniform".
The Breakdown: Now let's break the look down. Starting at the top. I know (especially my college girls) you have seen 1500 Parke mock crewnecks this season. And TBH I'm just a hater because I haven't been able to get one from the drops but I do love the silhouette of the Parke mock necks. I know target has a good dupe that I have also been trying to snag in heather grey. Next, a classic pair of black leggings. You can never go wrong. And honestly I wouldn't even go with Lulu, I prefer Aerie leggings. For socks, I think socks are gonna be even more on the come up as an accessory than they were last year. We got the return of the ankle sock last year for workouts/athleisure outfits but they will continue into everyday and something really fun and innovative will come as far as footwear accessories this year. But right now a fun ruffle ankle sock will do. Here is where controversies may begin. I am a Moon Boot stan until I die. They aren't everyones cup of tea but, I'm walking on a cloud and my feet have never been warmer. As far as accessories go I think the best accessory for cold weather is a huge chunky scarf. Anthropology has really cute options/patterns but for those balling on a budget Amazon has options as well. Now, I am usually not a baseball hat girlie, I prefer a trucker hat on my head but something about the winter makes me want to wear a full baseball hat because the foam and open netting on a classic trucker ain't cuttin' it with this wind. And the final portion of my "uniform" is a big ole' earring stack. I have three piercings on each ear and want more, adding an ear cuff is also a good solution minus the healing time. I'm loving the long chain earrings that are popular right now and for me, the more shit stacked on your ear the better. Drench it baby.
And that’s the breakdown of my "winter uniform"! It’s all about staying warm, comfy, and still feeling cute, even when the weather is doing the most. I’m always on the hunt for new ideas, so if you have a go-to winter look, drop it in the comments or let me know because who doesn’t love a little inspo? Stay bundled, stay cozy, and I’ll see y’all next time!
